One of DIFO’s strengths is the broad spectrum of the internet community represented by our members and board of directors. This helps to ensure that many different user groups have a voice in shaping the .dk domain.
DIFO’s board of directors is tasked with representing the Danish internet community. Each of the following groups is represented by three board members: private internet users, professional internet users and suppliers in the internet industry.
DIFO’s board is elected by DIFO’s members. The nine board members are elected for a three-year period at DIFO’s annual general meeting. The board is DIFO’s senior management body and is responsible for compliance with the provisions of the Danish Domain Act and DIFO’s permit from the Danish Business Authority. The board also defines the overall political guidelines for DIFO and appoints the CEO.
