Learn about good domain name practice

DK Hostmaster has invited Clement Salung Petersen, secretary of The Complaints Board for Domain Names and associate professor at the Faculty of Law, Copenhagen University, to lead a course on good domain name practice.

The law of domain names says that all registrants of .dk domain names should comply good domain name practice. This means for example that you cannot register or hold a domain name only with the purpose of reselling or renting out the domain name.

The course will for instance give answers to:

  • Which criteria defines good domain name practice?
  • Do economic operators have better right to a domain name than a registrant without commercial interests?
  • Can the use of a .dk domain name for so called hate sites be against good domain name practice?
  • To what extend may you put up your domain name for sale?

The course is for everyone who has an interest in good domain name practice. The course will be held in Danish only.

Practical information

The course is free and will take place October 3, 2017 from 9-12 at DK Hostmaster, Kalvebod Brygge 45, 3rd floor, 1560 København V.

Breakfast and registration from 8.30.

There will be refreshments during the day.
