Three courses on the law behind domain names

Week 20 DIFO/DK Hostmaster invites to three courses on domain name rules.

You can participate in all three courses or subscribe to the courses individually. It is free to participate in the courses.

Domain name law

Tuesday, 15 May 2018, 9 am to 12 midday  
You will learn how to acquire a .dk domain name and how to take care of it. The course is based on the rules and terms that provide the framework for the right to use a .dk domain name.

Good domain name practice

Wednesday, 16 May 2018, 9.00 am to 12.00 midday
The Internet Domain Act states that all registrants of .dk domain names should comply with good domain name practice. This course will improve your understanding of good domain name practice and will explain the criteria on which rulings on good domain name practice are based.

Should there be changes to the liability of domain registries in light of unlawful and unwanted content online?

Thursday, 17 May 2018, 11.00 am to 1.00 pm
The internet relies on intermediaries providing a range of functions. They often see themselves as internet infrastructure providers with no liability for the content of websites. At this seminar an overview of changes to the role of these intermediaries and their liability in light of recent EU developments will be provided and how these developments relates to the domain name system space.
