More and more companies have problems with identity theft, spamming, phishing and malware. Therefore, DK Hostmaster and DIFO will be offering a free workshop about DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance), which will give you an insight in how to effectively enhance the safety on your mail-system.
DMARC is an email approval procedure designed to protect against domain spoofing – the practice of sending emails from an unauthorized/false sender from a company’s domain name. Furthermore, DMARC introduces new features to email like visibility, consistency, and protection. Together, these initiatives ensure that organizations emails reach the recipients and that fake emails will be rejected.
DIFO and DK Hostmaster have invited Tim Draegen, CEO of dmarcian, and advocator of DMARC, to run the workshop.
This you will learn at the workshop
The workshop consists of a theoretical part, where you will gain knowledge about SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and a practical part where you will learn how to install DMARC on a domain name.
You will for instance learn about:
- How DMARC uses authentication to improve email security by using the well-known SPF and DKIM mechanisms
- How DMARC's reporting mechanisms help to quickly and accurately secure your email domains
- How to efficiently deploy DMARC in your organization

The workshop is directed towards people that are working with it security and who have a technical background.
Practical information
The workshop is held on November 15, 2017 at Copenhagen Mariott Hotel, Kalvebod Brygge 5, 1560 Copenhagen V.
Breakfast and registration from 8.45. The workshop itself starts at 9.15 and lasts until 16.00, and we will serve lunch during the workshop.
The workshop is free of charge and will be in English. Bring your own laptop.
